MTM’s Marketing Manager, Emily Hargest, had the pleasure of attending the first Marketers in Education networking event in Bristol last night. We were delighted to be able to support this iniative by sponsoring the drinks.
The Event
The event was organised by Amy Tout, Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications at Bristol Grammar School. It was designed to allow colleagues working in marketing within education to network and share collaboration ideas. We were delighted to see attendees from right across the sector. These ranged from independent schools in Bristol, to post-16 colleges, Bristol University and suppliers working with education providers. A big thank you must also go to Starlings cafe and bar for providing an excellent venue for the event.
“This is exactly the type of event I would have found so useful when I was working in a school. While there is an element of competition between the schools, it was great to see sector colleagues prepared to collaborate to promote the sector and the city of Bristol. And with people who understand both the joys and challenges of the role of marketing within education!” said Emily.
Future Opportunities
MTM recognises that, as the future looks more challenging for schools, opportunities like this are more valuable than ever. We are therefore keen to support similar networking groups. If you work in marketing within education, state and independent schools or academies, HE, or post 16, do get in touch. There are lots of ways in which we can work with you to set up a networking hub of marketers within other education providers in your area, so please contact Emily at emily@mtmconsulting.co.uk. to discuss ideas for networking, workshops and CPD opportunities.
We will be happy to help – and we’ll even buy the first drink!
