Guiding Jump Street’s Expansion Strategy for Trampoline Parks

Guiding Jump Street’s Expansion Strategy for Trampoline Parks featured image

Jump Street, a renowned company specialising in the opening and management of trampoline parks, was on a quest to determine the most opportune locations for their expansion plans. The challenge at hand involved identifying the ideal first site among five potential locations and establishing the optimal order for opening future sites.

Their existing customer base gave clear insights into the demographics of their target market. Specifically, their target market comprised households with:

  • a minimum income of £35,000
  • children aged 7-15
  • individuals belonging to social classes A, B, and C1.

Additionally, the locations had to be conveniently reachable within an hour for these families.

Harnessing our expertise in data analysis and market research, we embarked on a thorough evaluation of each potential location’s catchment area. By meticulously examining the number of children aged 7-15 within each area, segmented by lifestyle groups, we were able to gauge the size of the addressable markets. Armed with this information, we ranked the sites based on their market potential, and projected market trends and anticipated changes up until 2030, enabling us to estimate market share and growth patterns.  This provided Jump Street with invaluable guidance for their successful expansion strategy.

It is vital that we have the full picture when we are considering a new acquisition.  The team at MTM Consulting is able to provide the full market analysis that we require in a timely manner, often at short notice.  Their research is comprehensive and of a high standard, and they are consistently able to provide the unique insight that we need to move forward – or not.  I look forward to working with them again in the future.
