MTM Admissions Dashboard was unveiled at the IAPS/AMCIS Prep School Connect event on 28 January and attracted a great deal of attention, reports MTM’s MD James Leggett.

A huge part of what we do at MTM is to understand the ‘gaps’ in the school’s admissions pipelines, providing solutions that understand the reasons for these gaps and put in place action plans to resolve them.

However, in many cases schools are unable to easily access their admissions data. In some conversations recently, schools simply don’t look at their data at all, because as it is too difficult to access. Governors’ meetings often take admissions and marketing managers days to prepare for; SLT meetings are actively avoided.

Appreciating these challenges, we have developed MTM Admissions Dashboard, an online tool that gives an overview of a school’s admissions data in a way that is clear to understand, analyse and export as infographics for reports and presentations.

At the virtual IAPS/AMCIS Prep School Connect Event on 28 January 2021, MTM’s Head of Business Development Daniel Cohen and I presented to an audience of 38 delegates. We gave an initial presentation and a walk-through demonstration of MTM Admissions Dashboard, highlighting the interactivity of the tool and the ease of linking it to your existing MIS/Admissions database, and showing how to visualise the key statistics, which are selected by the client school and totally customisable.

We explained that a great deal of automation is possible – if you need to show analysis of the same data sets regularly (for example, to see offer-to-acceptance conversion rates monthly, or keep track of the number of prospectuses sent out this month compared to last month, or the same month last year), this can be achieved with just one click.

We appreciate that many schools are still rather paper-centric (almost every meeting we have attended in schools I am asked if I have a paper copy!), so while MTM Admissions Dashboard is an online tool, it also allows for data to be printed in attractive infographic form, which really speeds up preparation for reports and meetings.

We enjoyed answering questions from the audience and learnt a lot about the features that are most appealing. A key interest was the sensitivity of the data and the levels of integration. As MTM Admissions Dashboard is an online tool, it does not store admissions data, but simply plugs in to your management information system to show the data in an easy-to-read format. To date, we have confirmed integrations with iSAMS, SIMS and SchoolBase, with discussions on-going with all other providers.
