Only continual public relations activities will get your organisation noticed.

Business lore has it that potential customers need to see your organisation’s name at least seven times before they will make an approach. This means you need to work hard to give your organisation as much exposure to the right people as possible, and keep your name at the forefront of their minds.

PR consultancy for education

This is most effective for schools aiming to access previously untapped media, as it includes brokerage (ie two-way discussion with the school on the one hand, and with individual editors on the other) to discuss and develop stories suitable for publication. Requires a commitment to an agreed number of PR days per month or over a defined period of time – recorded by timesheet, or alternatively allocated days of the week, or a block of days to be used as and when needed to achieve the aims.

Includes:

  • Discussion of the aspects of the school that differentiate it from others
  • Agreement of key messages
  • Drilling down into the stories behind stories and in line with school messaging (eg student / staff commitment and achievement, school investment, matters of ethos and integrity)
  • Identification of suitable publications for coverage, whose readerships are either school target market (families for prospective recruitment) or influencers (profile-raising in education sector or wider media locally, nationally, internationally)
  • Liaising with editors to secure opportunities for media coverage
  • Positioning head/ senior leadership as thought-leaders, securing blog and thought-piece article opportunities
  • Writing and distributing content as required to capitalise on opportunities identified
  • Regular, on-going collaboration and communication to continue to identify stories for media coverage in suitable publications and in line with school messaging
