The Confidence Index

An annual online survey designed to provide an ongoing barometer of the leadership, marketing and finance elements of the UK independent schools sector is being carried out in January and February 2022 by MTM Consulting in partnership with Independent School Management Plus (ISMP).

The Confidence Index 2022 asks heads, bursars, marketers and admissions professionals in UK independent schools for their opinions on the realities of leading a school and how recent experience has informed their attitudes to the future.

‘The aim of The Confidence Index 2022 is to give an overview of the UK independent education sector’s current situation and to provide a benchmark against which to measure progress and development over the coming years,’ says MTM’s Head of Business Development Daniel Cohen. ‘By repeating the same survey annually we will build up a detailed picture of change as it happens in our sector.’

In fact, MTM engaged in a research partnership with ISMP in June 2021 to help share more widely our insights and evidence into the state of the education sector in the UK and internationally.
